 Started in Ballito, Kwa-Zulu Natal in 2003, supplying ethnic bags to the South African Curio shops and game lodges. Gradually, it began expanding and a new range was launched to cater for the tourists visiting South Africa. These are handmade bags exclusive to Absolutely Africa with genuine Zulu beads sewn on to them. The range is is added to from time to time. There is a vast array of colours available to meet all tastes and jewellery comes in many styles and patterns. All our products are 100% authentic, not factory made and the beadwork theron has been carefully beaded by the rural ladies of Kwa-Zulu Natal, South Africa. In order to produce quality beadwork of this standard, a great deal of experience is needed and good eyesight is of paramount importance. Beading is a time consuming process as each bead has to be counted in order to achieve the required patterns and styles. Most of the people do not have electricity in their homes so beading has to be done under natural light. The colour combinations, patterns and ideas are fascinating and vibrant.
